Rivers in the Desert is an outpouring of God’s heart to me and others alike – a people concerning whom God is unrelentingly determined to satisfy with drinking water – with His abundance … a people thirsty and parched as a result of the tyranny of lies and liars … a people whose thirst for Truth will be quenched by the HolySpirit, and out of whose belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water (John 6:37) … a people through whom the knowledge of the glory of God will fill the earth like the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
In an attempt to translate these Rivers into Words, I’ll be sharing the life–giving, life–changing truths that God has revealed to me in my conversations with Him. These truths have (and continue to) set me free FROM the lies that once held me bound (and still try to) TO a life overflowing with the abundance of God – a river FULL of water (Psalm 65:9).
To the ones for whom this pertains – to such a people, here’s what God (our Redeemer) says:
“I have redeemed you … I have ransomed you by paying the price instead of leaving you captives. I have called you by your name; you are Mine (exclusively Mine). You are precious in My sight, and I love you.
Remember not the former things; nor consider the things of old. Behold, I AM doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; don’t you see it, and won’t you give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert …
I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drinking water to My people – the people I formed for Myself, that they may set forth My praise and they shall do it.
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing … they shall see the glory of the Lord – His majesty, splendor, and excellency displayed!
To the fearful, fear not. Behold, your God comes with vengeance and recompense to save you …
For waters shall gush forth in the wilderness and streams flow in the desert. Hot sands and parched grounds will become a cool oasis, the mirage will become a pool, the thirsty ground a splashing fountain (springs of water).
A highway shall be there, and a way – it shall be called the Holy Way. It shall be for the redeemed – exclusively for God’s people, and they shall walk in it.
Concerning the redeemed (the ransomed of the LORD) – everlasting, non-stop, never-ending JOY shall be their experience. They will be welcomed with and obtain joy and gladness, as sorrow and sighing flee and scurry away.”
